The Hudson Street Jazz Orchestra (HSJO) first came together as a band late in 2019. Our first gig was in the week before Covid shut the world down in 2020 and we have been getting stronger and stronger as a band ever since.

Our musically experienced band members come from a wide array of backgrounds and locales, close and far. Few knew each other before this band. We were each shaped by a variety of music genres that all played influential roles in our paths as musicians and ultimately led us to come together in this band.

As the Hudson Street Jazz Orchestra, we've found our signature sound and energy. We play everything from jazz standards through to modern pop and jazz tunes. We play enjoyable, easy listening gigs, lively, energetic dancing gigs or sometimes a mix of both for great afternoons and evenings!
